A particular flock of birds has been making regular visits to my backyard birdfeeder this winter. I say ‘particular’ because I’m pretty sure this is the same gang of birds that show up day after day. Where broad-leaved, deciduous trees dominate the landscape, winter woodlands can seem like pretty bleak places.
